Check this out… I put in an application for a job downtown. Don’t know if I will get it… I really think that working for a church (especially being in the ‘know most of what’s going on’ seat) has damped my spirit and rained on my love for Christ.

I’ve been forcing myself to get up and exercise, write and do Bible studies like the ‘olden days’…. 4am comes awfully early. I’m so glad He doesn’t change…. and that, somehow, I’m getting closer.

oh yeah…. and then there’s that really cool serenity prayer….

You will be great… you already are! (Biased opinions rock!)

Wow Sam. After I put the whole Sam was in Dime Store Profits thing together and told Luke, he asked if you were still working at the church, because he hadn’t seen you in a while. I told him “yep, sure is”.
Little did I know!
I don’t pop on your blog much, ’cause, well, frankly I don’t understand most of what you’re talking about.

Hey Sam,

Thanks for the reminder not to just play Christianity at church but to actually BE a follower of Christ. It’s really easy to DO Christian things for God at church without ever spending much time with Him. I will be guarding my relationship with Him.
