I just went to a church here in BZN yesterday - a real MT Hillsong-type thing, complete with a great violinist. Not a single floor wedge in sight, Aviom mixers for everyone, and the gnarliest drum cabin I ever saw. Drummer Alcatraz. The snare cracked like a whip (albeit a bit dark for my taste) and I never once heard the hi hat (which I later saw had a 57 on it.) Boy, would I like to have had a stab at that mix (which Carmen thought loud but I thought appropriate for a gymnasium - overall sound was better than a gym would promise.) The drummer really let fly, but I do that with no Drumaquarium@ at all. I'm audio-dacious.
